Odissi Dance
Swar Sangam is a part of artistic journey of continuous learning and growth of the Odissi - a devotional classical dance form that originated in the temples of Orissa in India more than 2000 years ago. The dance exquisitely portrays the beauty of the sacred womanhood and reflects the ancient spiritual motifs of India's great tantric temples. Swar Sangam follows the style of Guru Kelucharan Mohapatra - a graceful blend of the entertaining art of the Gotipua and Jatra parties, the Bhakti oriented Rasa Leela performances and the innovative attempts of the Annapurna Theatre.
